AFO Tennis Academy is a free tennis program serving youth of Oakland. Clinics will be given at Lincoln Square Park in Oakland starting in June 2025. Clinics are from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and free for participants.
Our mission is to foster personal development, discipline, and athletic excellence in underserved youth through
comprehensive tennis training and supportive mentorship, enabling them to achieve their full potential both on
and off the court.
AFO stands for All For Oneβpart of the phrase "All for one, and one for all" from ππ©π¦ ππ©π³π¦π¦ ππΆπ΄π¬π¦π΅π¦π¦π³π΄, adhering to the idea that we want to serve the most kids from a single effort and vice versa.
"O" also stands for Oakland: "All for Oakland and Oakland for All". We are invested in the city and its youth.
Philosophy:
In the world of tennis, things can get competitive and we can often lose the meaning in the sport. We're too caught up with competing with one another that tennis isnβt even enjoyable anymore. Thatβs why at AFO tennis we want to take a step away from the serious competition and bring tennis with fun, happiness and zero cost. Instead of competing against each other, we want to help each other. Here, we are all for one!
